The purpose of the Serve Iowa Initiative is to remove barriers that may prevent students from engaging with their community. To accomplish this, our organization works with numerous different non-profit organizations to coordinate and arrange bi-weekly service events. To further ensure easy access to civic engagement, we provide transportation, both to and from, all of our service events. Through this initiative, we are helping connect students to community parters, ultimately enhancing the development of our local community.
In October of 2017, we implemented the Serve Iowa Initiative. Through our mission of improving health, education, and income in our local communities, we began our work with United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties to further the goal of serving our community.
