The University of Iowa's Hawkeye Service Breaks program exists to promote service-learning, social justice, and community building to University of Iowa students through a service immersion experience.

All students who wish to join a Hawkeye Service Breaks team must enroll in the corresponding 3 s.h. service-learning course (LS:1024) for the Spring semester. This is a 10-week course that will meet twice per week throughout the semester.

Enrollment for Spring 2025 will begin according to students' specified course registration dates (please check university calendar and/or MyUI updates for specific Spring registration date). This program is open to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.

The course fee is $270. There are scholarships available for students who need assistance, please email dsl-hsb@uiowa.edu for more information.
